Anethum graveolens, commonly called dill, is native to Asia Minor and the Mediterranean. It has beautiful yellow flowers. Potted dill plants need 6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day. Dill will grow in most types of soil, though it prefers well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
